Welcome to the 2026-2027 concert season of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra! The music we perform for you this season is sure to lift and illuminate your spirit!

Music has the incredible ability to move our souls, to bring us great joy, and to help us feel more alive. This season the orchestra and guest artists will bring you great masterpieces of music that have stood the test of time, as well as some fresh newer voices.

Some of these masterpieces include Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto, Brahms’ First Symphony, Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Gershwin’s An American in Paris, Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, and portions of Holst’s The Planets.

“We Are Made of Stars” will be our special finale at the UD Heritage Center with music from Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, Interstellar, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Martian, and others.

Wonderful soloists will join us this season, including pianist Ilya Yakushev, guitarist Marcus DeJesus, CSO Principal Cello Philip Bergman, tenor Eric Ferring (a Dubuque native and favorite!), and CSO Principal Oboe Chanmi Kim. In addition, we will feature many of our DSO players in chamber music concerts in September, April, and June.
