Shannon Farley currently lives in Madison, WI and has taught violin and viola privately since 2002.
Shannon holds a M.M. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studied violin with Professor Tyrone Greive and viola with Katrin Talbot. As an undergraduate, Shannon studied visual arts and violin performance at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where she studied with Professor Mark Bjork. In addition to running her own violin and viola studio, Shannon is a faculty member of Farley’s House of Pianos, Suzuki Strings of Madison and The Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra. Shannon plays in a variety of local and regional music ensembles including: Rockford Symphony, Fresco Opera, The Underground Chamber Collective of Madison and The Canzonetta Duo.
