Peg Hudson is a retired bank executive who served at the highest strategic and operational levels of community banking in Dubuque. Music has been a lifelong influence, beginning with oboe studies from fourth grade through college. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Clarke College and a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Dubuque. Peg began her professional career as a television producer/director before transitioning into bank marketing and public relations, where she drew on her advertising and media expertise. A Certified Financial Marketing Professional, she served for many years on the Board of Directors of the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management, also contributing as an instructor and advisor.
Deeply committed to community service, Peg has volunteered in leadership roles with numerous nonprofit and civic organizations, including the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, where she served as president for three years. Her contributions have been recognized with honors such as the Women’s Leadership Network’s “Woman of Achievement,” the University of Dubuque Alumni Association’s Service to Community Hall of Fame Award, and the Iowa Governor’s Volunteer Award for her service to the DSO. Peg treasures her 40-plus year marriage to her husband, Dave, caring for their two cats, and the enduring blessings of faith, family, friends, and community.
