I am a native of Dubuque and attended the University of Dubuque where I received my B.A. in Music Education. I teach music in the Western Dubuque Schools. Playing in orchestras has been a part of my life since elementary school. I play violin with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra and in 2013 had the opportunity to record a 2 hour PBS TV special with Ethan Bortnick, an inspiring 10 year old musical prodigy. I really enjoy playing with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra especially when Rachmaninoff is on the program! The sound on stage is phenomenal as the orchestra brings the music to life! I also sing with the Dubuque Chorale and have performed concerts with them in Europe and Australia’s Sydney Opera House under the direction of Eric Whitacre, an original composer. I have also sung solo at Carnegie Hall. With music everything is possible!
